Brenda Wong, MD, MBBS completed her medical education from National University of Singapore in 1980 and fellowship from Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
She serves as the founding clinic director of The Duchenne Program at UMass Medical School, a new clinic and research site. The program is being established with the driving goal of improving research and care outcomes for children and adults with Duchenne and Becker muscular dystrophies.
Her specialty is in neuromuscular disorders with a focus on Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Dr. Wong particularly became interested in Duchenne after attending a parent meeting years ago. She was impressed with how Duchenne parents were advocates in trying to improve care for their sons.
