Donovan Lott, PT, PhD

Dr. Donovan Lott is currently serving as Research Associate Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy, University of Florida. He completed his bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in 1996 from Brigham Young University in Exercise Science, followed by masters (MS) in 1998 from Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis in Physical Therapy. He pursued PhD in 2007 from Washington University in Movement Science. Previously, he was associated with Jack D. Close & Associates Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation as its Director and a physical therapist.

He is working on different projects related to muscular dystrophy research. He is interested in research areas such as investigating skeletal muscle damage, exercise in patients with muscular dystrophy, and the relationship between muscle pathology and functional mobility in people with neuromuscular disease.
