Harrison’s Fund aims to raise funds for researches to find a cure for Duchenne. Harrison’s Fund is a charity named after a charming and cheeky little man who is suffering with DMD. Harrison’s parents, Alex and Donna Smith, aim to help researchers to stop Duchenne, or at least find a way to slow it down significantly in hope of a cure and also that the Duchenne affected can grow into the strong men they’re meant to be.
Over the past few years, scientists have made giant strides in gene therapy and molecular medicine, and pharmaceutical companies have begun investing in research that may well bring Duchenne therapies to market. The funds collected through Harrison’s Fund are invested in researches and human clinical trials.
