Jesse’s Journey is a partnership of science and families dedicated to the discovery of treatment and cure of Duchenne muscular dystrophy—because parents should not outlive their children. Founded in London, Ontario in 1994, Jesse’s Journey is the only registered charity in Canada solely focused on funding research into Duchenne and is known and respected internationally. Jesse’s Journey is named for Jesse Davidson, son of John and Sherene Davidson, who was diagnosed with Duchenne in 1986 at the age of six years old.

Jesse’s Journey grants more than $1 million per year to researchers around the world who are focused on finding treatments and a cure for Duchenne. As a result of our grants to research over the course of 20 years, there have been major advancements in clinical discoveries, significant improvements in the quality of life for those living with Duchenne, and children with Duchenne are living longer lives.
