The Neuromuscular Program at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) participates in clinical trials and researches for better diagnosis and treatment of children suffering with neuromuscular disorders such as muscular dystrophy. The Neuromuscular Program at CHOP has been recognized by Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy, the Spinal Muscular Atrophy Foundation, and the Muscular Dystrophy Association. CHOP’s Neuromuscular Program provides comprehensive clinical evaluations, detailed genetic counseling, individualized or particular treatment options, etc.
More than 500 patients suffering with neuromuscular disorders (from around the country) are diagnosed and treated with the help of this program.
