Vanderbilt Neuromuscular Clinic1301 Medical Center Drive
Suite 3930 TVC
Nashville, Tennessee, United States
Vanderbilt’s MDA Neuromuscular Clinic is a fast growing MDA/ALS Clinic as designated by Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). It is the only clinic in the Mid-South which provides a complete range of services that include specially trained physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, nutritionists, and other experts who provide and maintain mobility equipment such as wheelchairs and splints.
Multiple neurological disorders are also covered here such as ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease), spinal muscular atrophies, genetic neuropathies (Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease), glycogen storage diseases, and periodic paralysis.
Vanderbilt’s MDA Neuromuscular Clinic also trains medical students, neurology residents, and neurology fellows in the clinical and laboratory aspects of diseases affecting the nerve, muscle, spinal cord, and neuromuscular junction. MDA provides an opportunity to the patients to enroll in national research studies and drug trials. Several other researches and trials related to ALS and pediatric neuromuscular disorders are going on in the clinic.
